As you know I'm a writer that's aspiring to become an author. As of midnight my dream has become reality. Years ago I started on an unnamed novel. I knew two things about it my main characters father was killed and the character wanted to know why. Later the story evolved into A Daughter's Fury and I knew her story would span four books and a novella. Now, ADF is published and I'm working faithfully on the rest of her story. I don't know everything that's going to happen in the series. Every time I put my fingers to my key board, I surprise myself.
I've been on a long journey with my dreams, goals, and my characters. I've learned a lot about both writing, my characters, myself. I've changed slowly but surely. Things that would bother me and people I wanted to help were vague ideas I had every once in a while. Now, these ideas are now more dreams and consuming. Driving me to be better. Not for me. For them, I want to succeed so I can help. My success is my dream but now that it's becoming reality, new dreams are coming to the forefront. These dreams are what drive me to continue and grow.
I want to think three people for their support. First off, thank you Heavenly Father. You gave me an idea to keep myself entertained during a trying time in my life. Later, you evolved it into a dream and career. Thank you.
Mom, you were the first person I talked to about my books. You listened and contemplated my ideas. You helped me create my characters. Always supportive and loving, thank you.
My friend, you read my crummy drafts and helped me make them better. A constant beacon of support, never discounting me or my dreams. Thank you.
Everyone has secrets. Who knew I had so many.
