Update

Hello,

As I've been writing I have been doing a few things differently. I have a friend that I keep updated on my weekly goals and that keeps me in line about meeting these goals. She keeps me accountable. I've read several writing blogs and that is something that they recommend.

I've heard the imagination compared to a muscle. Like any muscle to keep it strong, healthy, and active you have to exercise it! You have to write everyday even if it’s a note or a blog.

I have laid out a time line for myself because, I need that structure, it makes me feel better and also in control. My timeline consists of the deadlines for agents. After a certain amount of time with no word from agents that means it’s a no. I figured out what time this would be for me. I also set deadlines for when I want my drafts done. For instance, the book I'm working on, I want this draft to be completed around June 20th of this year. With the Drafting Cycle I'll begin working on another book, its deadline is October 1st.

Generally, I'm aiming for three months per draft. Some may take longer and some less amounts of time. Which I have kind of accounted for.

This is what I'm listening to. Seriously it’s on repeat 24/7.
